Lisa Boyko joined the viola section of the Cleveland Orchestra in 1991. Previously she was a member of the New Orleans and Toronto Symphonies and the Minnesota Orchestra. She studied for two years in Vienna at the Musikgymnasium and at the Hochschule fur Musik, and 1985 she received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she was a student of Robert Vernon. Ms. Boyko has been featured as alumni soloist with the CIM Chamber Orchestra in the Cleveland premiere of Darius Milhaud’s “Concertino d’Ete”. She continues to perform regularly in solo recitals and chamber music concerts, and is a founding member of the Cleveland Chamber Collective. Ms. Boyko has taught at the Cleveland Institute of Music and Encore School for Strings and is currently on the faculty at Case Western Reserve University. Since 2003 she has been on the faculty of the Masterworks Festival, a Christian performing arts festival.
