Mary Irwin received a Master of Music from Northwestern University. Her teachers include James Ceasar, Jerry Lucktenberg, Marge Pardee and Josef Gingold. 18-year symphony career with the Wichita Symphony, the Knoxville Symphony, and 12 years with the Columbus Symphony. Ms. Irwin has performed solos with a number of ensembles, most notably the Brevard Music Center, the NCSA Chamber, the Knoxville, and the MasterWorks Festival orchestras. She is a founding member of both the Quattro Corde string quartet and the MasterWorks string trio. She continues to give regular recitals in several venues in the US and has a private teaching studio of 30 students. She is the president of the Columbus Music Teachers’ Association and string workshop chairman of OMTA Central East. Ms. Irwin has served as concertmaster of the MasterWorks Festival Orchestra since 1998.
