One Month Until Showtime – the 2019 MasterWorks Festival

Over 100 students will be participating in the MasterWorks Festival 2019!  So many plans are being put in motion.  The MasterWorks Festival will have it’s first 2019 concert Friday June 21st in Daniel Recital Hall at Converse College, a faculty recital.  Then the next evening, Saturday June 22nd, our MasterWorks orchestra comprised of both our gifted students and wonderful renowned faculty, will perform Brahms’ Second Piano Concerto with guest artist, pianist Mia Chung, and the Second Symphony of Sibelius.  Our FREE orchestra concerts are Saturday nights 7:30pm at Twichell Auditorium – Converse College.

All the performances at the MasterWorks Festival are FREE. We would love to see the regional community enjoy the music with us together.

Chip Hill, our Executive Director, and I, Board Chair Adam Smith, have had a great week of significant meetings with so many wonderful people that are aligning with us to bring these high caliber concerts to the Spartanburg region.  You can visit our Events Page for more concert information.  More performances will be loaded in as soon as they are finalized.

Signature works this summer include major repertoire – Beethoven Symphony No. 3 “Eroica”, Debussy’s La Mer, and Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 4, among many more.  Come join us as together as world-class faculty and gifted students present brilliant performances in an atmosphere of dynamic Christian faith.
